How to Find Your Perfect Fit

Getting the right fit is everything when it comes to a bra that provides the support and comfort you deserve. Follow these simple steps to make sure your new bra fits like a glove:

Step 1: Start with the Band

  • Put on your bra and fasten it on the loosest hook.

  • The band should feel firm but not tight, sitting comfortably around your ribcage.

  • Slide two fingers underneath the band. If you can fit more than two, the band is too loose, and you may need a smaller back size. Remember: 80% of the bra’s support comes from the band. When you take your straps off your shoulder, everything should hold securely with the band.

Step 2: Get Your Breasts into the Cups

  • Slightly bend forward and use your hands to gently scoop your breasts into the cups.

  • Don’t push your breasts to the sides of the bra. All your breast tissue should be comfortably sitting in the cups. If you are pushing your breast tissue into the bra, once you start moving in your day to day, you will get spillage.

  • This step is essential to ensuring the best support and shaping.

Step 3: Adjust the Shoulder Straps

  • Next, adjust the shoulder straps. They should be snug, but not digging into your shoulders.

  • The straps should help with the lift—not bear all the weight. If you feel pressure on your shoulders, try loosening them slightly.

  • There should be no painful digging or red marks after wear.

Step 4: Check the Band's Position

  • The band should stay horizontal around your torso, running straight across your back.

  • If the band is riding up in the back, it means it’s too big, and you might need a smaller band size for a more secure fit.

Step 5: Ensure the Center Panel Sits Flush

  • The center of the bra (the panel between the cups) should be sitting flat against your sternum.

  • If there’s a gap, this could mean the cup size is too small, and you may need a larger cup size for a perfect fit.

Step 6: Check the Cups for Full Coverage

  • Your cups should completely cover your breasts, with no spillage from the front or the sides (aka side boob).

  • If you notice spillage, it’s time to size up in the cup for a more comfortable fit.

  • (Note: Some bra styles, like balconettes or plunge bras, may have a different fit, so keep that in mind.)

Bonus Tips:

  • Comfort is key: A bra should feel comfortable all day long, with no pinching or irritation.

  • Try on your bra: Take a few minutes to walk around, adjust as needed, and check the fit after wearing it for a little while.
